Bruce C. Beebe (principal)
Bruce’s responsibility includes implementing and overseeing the company’s sales and marketing plans, finances, risk assessment, and project management. As owner, Bruce is very much involved in the day to day projects, in the field overseeing job sites, and often working hand and hand with his employees.
Having started the Dock Business in 1984, within the former Business known as Beebe Marine Inc., it has grown today into Beebe Dock & Mooring Systems. In 2005 Bruce and Stephen Kennedy created a separate entity, Beebe Dock & Mooring Systems LLC, which has produced over 100 dock systems, and placed over 200 mooring systems.
Bruce has been an active member of the Connecticut Marine Trades Association (CMTA), as well as served on its board of directors, and locally has served on the Madison Shellfish Commission. In addition, he has extensive experience working offshore, from commercial fishing vessels, to large offshore oil drilling rigs.
An avid runner, Bruce has just recently completed his 15th consecutive Boston Marathon, and is a regular supporter of the Madison Foundation, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Veterans of Foreign Wars, U.S Olympic Team and One Fund Boston.
Don Zimmer (sales)
Don can be found in the office, Monday thru Friday, where his responsibilities include day to day interactions with customers, as well as sales and marketing at Beebe Dock & Mooring Systems.
Many of the early Beebe Marine customers may recognize Don as having worked with Bruce & Stephen, back when Don managed Mako boats sales, and the Beebe Marine Store. Don is a long time Guilford resident, with extensive experience in the marine industry, having previously worked for Kenyon Marine, McMichael Yacht Broker’s, Navtec, and Lewmar in customer service, project management and sales.
An active water person, Don enjoys kayaking, sailing, fishing, Scuba Diving, clamming and just messing about on the water. He actively volunteers at CT Hospice, in Branford, as well as on the board of the Faulkner’s Light Brigade.
